How Do I Set Up My JustFund Account?

You'll receive your login credentials after you have registered and been approved for an account.

Part 1: Tax status

In the Tax Status section, choose your organization’s designation: 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) entity, Federally Recognized Tribe, fiscally sponsored project, or ‘other’ for a different entity.

501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) organizations

If your organization is a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) tax-exempt entity, click the dropdown menu under Tax Status to specify its tax-exempt status.

Fiscally sponsored organizations and projects

1. If your organization or project is fiscally sponsored, select the option for ‘Fiscally sponsored project of a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) entity.’
   
   
2. Enter the fiscal sponsor’s name, select the fiscal sponsor’s tax-exempt status from the dropdown menu, and enter the fiscal sponsor’s EIN.  

Federally Recognized Tribes

If you are registering a tribal entity for a JustFund account, select the Federally Recognized Tribe option. Click here to read more about tribal entity structures. 

For-profit and other entities

JustFund approves for-profits and other entity types that are focused on grassroots and advocacy work. Please select ‘For-Profit’ if your organization does not have nonprofit tax-exempt status or federal tribe designation, or ‘Other’ if it is not defined as a for-profit, tax-exempt entity, or a federally recognized tribe. 

For-profit organizations and other entities can only apply to existing funding opportunities on the JustFund platform. During registration, you’ll be asked to name the specific funding opportunity you are applying to.

Click Continue to move on to the final section of the registration process.

Part 2: Applicant contact information

1. Enter the main point of contact’s first and last name and job title within the organization. This person should have access to the email you provided when registering for an account.
   
   
2. Enter the organization’s full name and the funding opportunity you’re applying to through Justfund, if available. 

Organization verification

As a reminder, JustFund reviews all registrations to verify each organization’s eligibility. We recommend uploading tax verification documents at the time of registration for a more seamless experience. Please note that the organization verification process may take up to 1 business day, excluding holidays. 

When your registration is approved, you will receive an email inviting you to sign into your JustFund account.
