Make funding decisions
How it works
Once you are ready to make final decisions, use the Applications tab to mark grant recommendations and decline applications.
Why it matters
- Move money faster: Clear workflows and real-time visibility reduce bottlenecks so resources reach communities quickly.
- Stay organized: Track where every application stands and keep your team aligned through every stage of the process.
Make funding decisions
- Click Grants in the top navigation, select the cycle, and go to the Applications tab.
- Click the Funding decision tracking card to review applications.
- Mark funding decisions:
-
- All applications will default to Uncommitted.
- For any applications that you have chosen not to fund, select Decline.
- For any applications that you would like to fund, select Commit to mark a grant recommendation. The Fund Application modal will appear where you can enter details including grant amount, commitment date, payment format, and an optional public comment. The public comment will be visible to other JustFunders and to the applicant. Select a grant type. For fiscally sponsored projects, the grant type defaults to Project Support automatically.
- Add labels to categorize your grant recommendation. These are visible only to your team.
- Click Save.
- The actions above will not trigger any notifications. Applicants will not be notified until you send the Award and Declination emails. See Notify Applicants.
