Note: Organizations will be able to see commitments marked on their application and organization profile.
- Click the Fund button on the organization profile and complete the fields in the pop-up box accordingly:
- Dropdown: Commitment Actions
- Select Add New Funding
- Dropdown: Is this commitment on behalf of a grant cycle?
- If you are marking funding on behalf of a grant cycle, choose the grant cycle listed in the dropdown box.
- If you are marking funding on behalf of your fund, select the fund name and populate relevant fields.
- Dropdown: Grant Type
- Choose the grant type you wish to award the grantee, keeping in mind the following definitions:
- A General Operating Grant is unrestricted and supports an organization's overall activities. These include but are not limited to operating expenses and overhead.
- Choose the grant type you wish to award the grantee, keeping in mind the following definitions:
- Dropdown: Commitment Actions
- A Program or Project Support Grant is restricted funding that typically supports a very specific project or activity of the organization. These grants are usually tied to specific project-based outcomes.
- If the organization is fiscally sponsored, please select Program or Project Support Grant.
- You can add a comment in the Comment box indicating any special note about that funding.
- Tags field
- You can assign up to five new or existing tags to categorize your funding and track commitments internally.
- Grant payment information fields
- Amount Committed
- Type the dollar amount of the grant.
- Date Committed
- Use the calendar to choose the grant commitment date.
- Payment Format
- In the dropdown, choose the payment type (check, online, stock, ACH, Wire, other).
- Date Paid
- Use the calendar to choose the date the grant was paid.
- Amount Committed
- Repeat this process for each grant you mark. We encourage you to leave a comment sharing why you are funding the organization. This comment will be visible to the organization and other JustFunders.
- If you marked funding incorrectly, you can edit the information with these steps:
- Visit your Dashboard
- Click on Funding
- Click on the application you previously marked funding for
- Click Fund and under Commitment Actions choose the corresponding cycle
Edit and click Save.
