Track and report

How it works

JustFund gives you three ways to track and report on your grantmaking: the Dashboard funding table for reviewing and exporting giving history, the Check-in feature for relationship-based grantee touchpoints, and Impact Cycles for structured impact reporting.

Why it matters

  • Track real-time impact: View comprehensive data on your giving across all cycles in one place.
  • Stay connected: Build lasting relationships with grantees through flexible, meaningful touchpoints.
  • Choose your approach: Use the tools that work best for each relationship - informal check-ins, structured reporting, or both.

View and export your giving

  1. Click Dashboard in the top navigation and click the funding table card.
  2. Filter by applicant name, committed date, grant cycle, and more.
  3. Click Download to export as a CSV or PDF.
  4. Note: You can also click the commitments count directly from the Grants Management Workspace to jump to a filtered view of the for that cycle.

Collect reporting and impact updates from grantees

Option 1: Check-in feature Best for relationship-based touchpoints conversation or verbal update.

  1. Navigate to the funding table in your Dashboard or click the commitments count from the Grants Management Workspace
  2. Click Add Check-in, select a time period and scheduling method, and click Save.
  3. Once scheduled, upload files, add links, and take notes directly on the grant recommendation.
  4. Note: Check-ins can also be configured for a cycle from the Communication tab in the Grants Management Workspace.
  5. Check-in statuses update automatically:
  • Scheduled: Check-in is configured and the reminder has not yet been sent.
  • Pending: Reminder has been sent and the check-in has not been marked done.
  • Done: Marked done when notes or attachments are uploaded, or manually by the funder.
  • Overdue: Check-in date has passed with no updates.

Option 2: Impact Cycles Best for standardized data collection where you need comparable responses across multiple grantees.

  1. Run an impact collection cycle at any time, typically at 6 months or 1 year post-award.
  2. Ask up to 3 questions, request up to 3 attachments, and accept audio and video responses.
  3. To set up an Impact Cycle, follow the same steps as creating a grant cycle. See Set up a grant cycle.
