What Types of Supplemental Questions and Attachments Can I Ask for in My RFP?

You can include up to three supplemental questions and three additional attachments in your RFP, either as optional or required.

For questions, you can choose between two formats:

  • Paragraph-style question (open text response)
  • Checkbox question (multiple-choice response)

To add a paragraph-style question:

  1. Click the Paragraph button.
  2. Enter your question in the provided field.
  3. If you want to make the question required, toggle on the Required button. If left off, the question will remain optional.

To add a checkbox-style question:

  1. Click the Checkboxes button.
  2. Enter your question in the provided field.
  3. Add up to 10 response options.
  4. To make the question required, toggle on the Required button. If left off, the question will remain optional.

Please review JustFund Common Application™ before drafting your questions to prevent redundancy. Here are some example supplemental question suggestions. 

  • What are your expected outcomes/measures of success?
  • Please list any partner organizations that are supporting your work.
  • How do you center DEI issue areas and movements in your work?
  • Describe the ways your work builds power in your community.

To request required or optional attachments, click on the Yes button. Then, enter the name of the attachment you’d like the applicant to submit with their application. You can request up to three attachments for each RFP.

To make an attachment required:

  1. Toggle on the Required button.
  2. If left off, submitting the attachment will remain optional.
